I only got back home today, so it's absolutely fine! I had a miserable lil day yesterday, to be honest. Not an awful lot I can do Halloween-wise when I'm staying at my dads.. purely because he's not into all the scary stuff, which I love. We can't meet in the middle either, aha.

I'm loving the edit! it's beautiful and I'll be saving that one to my laptop for future use, no doubt :D ended up watching The Thing Called Love late last night, in his memory. I have a lot of love for that film.

I'm still sorting through my records and cassettes to pay homage to Prince. I know his performances and tracks can be very very hard to track down online for free ( man was that guy a savvy businessman ) but here's one of my favorite covers of a Prince original. When You Were Mine.

'I'm learning to fly, learning to fly, around the clouds'

Thank you so much for the endless memories your music helped me form. You gave me a sense of peace, belonging, and above all you gave me endless hope. No matter what was going on in my life I knew I could turn to your music for help, comfort, strength. I'll forever carry that, like so many of your songs, in my heart. You were prolific yet so humble, human. Most rockstars lose that but somehow you never did. You were the every man's musician with the soul of a true poet. You've more than earned your wings. Rest well, sir and Happy Birthday.
